Wascosa has collaborated with the German wagon manufacturer WBN Waggonbau Niesky GmbH and the commodities company K+S to develop an innovative hopper wagon for potash, salt and fertiliser products.
The wagon is particularly suited to transporting this type of product, and K+S plans to bring it into service across the whole of Europe as of 2018. The project to develop a 75 m³ Tanpps hopper car for moisture-sensitive good was unveiled today at the trade fair «InnoTrans 2016» in Berlin.
The wagon’s outstanding feature is the combination of central and lateral discharging ports, which provides very flexible unloading options. The latest Tanpps innovation allows the two conventional wagon types Tanoos and Tadns to be replaced with just one new model. An extra bonus for customers: the innovative DRRS 25L bogie with a compact brake whose anti-corrosive properties are ideally suited for transporting salt.
Wascosa works with customers to develop solutions that improve the productivity of the freight wagons in service and enhance the efficiency of rail transport, thereby significantly reducing rail logistics costs.
