WASCOSA presents the new industrial standard for optimised safety in the transportation of hazardous goods at the transport logistic 2013

WASCOSA will once again be there when the «Who’s who» of the industry meet up between 4 and 7 June 2013 at the world's biggest trade fair for transport and logistics in Munich. Europe's most innovative freight wagon hirer will once again be presenting the latest additions to its fleet of wagons under the motto of this year's trade fair «going new ways» on the outdoor area 704/5, track 3/3.

The record attendance at the last transport logistic in 2011 speaks for itself: with 1,893 exhibitors from 59 countries, the event was better attended than ever before. The high presence of international exhibitors was very remarkable: 44% were from abroad. The leading European trade fair is well on its way to becoming a world fair.

WASCOSA's stand, as in previous years, is on the outdoor area 704/5, track 3/3. «It's not just the trade fair itself that is «on its way» to becoming a world fair, WASCOSA too is «going new ways» and presents the new industrial standard for optimised safety in the transportation of hazardous goods», explains Philipp Müller, Delegate of the Board of Directors of WASCOSA. «We are looking forward to numerous and interesting contacts with our business partners at the trade fair.»

The trend for more 'voluntary safety' in the transport of hazardous substances by rail is continuing in all classes of hazardous goods. This is no longer simply about energy dissipation with the aid of crash buffers but also additional protection for the tank by preventing over-buffering, the avoidance of de-railing and its uncontrollable consequences and not least the safety of shunting personnel at work.

A completely new safety concept was presented at the trade fair in 2011, the WASCOSA safe tank car®. In the meantime, the safety elements of the WASCOSA safe tank car® have found their way into other series of new rail tank cars to transport goods from various hazardous substance classes. Measures to improve safety during the transport of hazardous substances by rail are therefore not only possible, they are also being put to increasing use at the growing initiative of the chemicals and petrochemicals industry and have proven their worth. With more than 700 delivered or ordered vehicles within 3 years, the WASCOSA safe tank car® is rapidly developing into a new industrial standard for the transport of hazardous substances by rail.
